Your Data
Most projects generate large amounts of information with
different attributes - space, content, time, format and media.
Figuring out how to overcome this problem is frequently frustrating
and results in usage bottlenecks. Data got you down? We have
solutions!
Our Solutions
In any project, 75% of the effort is spent producing complete,
consistent and error-free (clean) data. Reducing this effort
improves your productivity.
The first step is evaluating how you collect and process
information, find out what is working and not working, and determine
end objectives. Next, a plan is developed for smooth data flow from
field collection through digital conversion, verification and
storage. As new data and needs arise, protocols can be easily
updated. Plan implementation results in clean data that can be
analyzed and modeled using either traditional hand methods or today’s
digital tools. The final step is making it happen.
We design cost-effective solutions for all data handling steps.
We can help you get 100% return on past, current and future
data investments.
Your Decisions
Large amounts of money are spent collecting, processing and
storing data. In today’s fast paced global market, data nuggets
need to be quickly found so that crucial operation and investment
decisions can be optimized. For this to happen, you need clean data,
efficient data processing protocols, interactive modeling tools, and
a trained staff.
Our Experience
We are consultants providing a full range of information
management solutions to small and large businesses on an
international basis. Over the past 25 years, we have helped hundreds
of clients manage information and data, and make informed
decisions.

RECENT PROJECTS
Data Mining Example:
Problem: Company wanted to
complete a GIS study to identify gold and silver targets in a
60,000 km2 area in central Asia.
Need: Acquire data; convert Russian
maps (topographic, geologic and geophysical), cross section, lab
analysis, remote sensing, surface geochem, and mine plan data to
digital format; build mineral occurrence database; identify new
targets; liaison with government officials; and, hire, train and
manage "local" staff.
Solution: Paper-based data were
digitized, scanned and vectorized; themes and databases were created
and linked; data relationships were defined; and 25 targets were
identified for follow-up field exploration. Software used included
ACCESS, AutoWorld, MapInfo, and ArcView.
Data Rescue Example:
Problem: Company has a room full of 9 track, magnetic
tapes FROM 1970S DRILLING/E-LOGGING PROGRAM. Mainframe computer,
operating system, database software, project personnel and reference
material were discarded/retired 15 years ago.
Need: If tapes are readable, convert
data to PC-useable format, map and model deposit geometry, and
calculate reserves.
Solution: Tapes were read;
hexadecimal data was converted to ASCII; data was stored on CDROMs
in ACCESS databases; data accuracy was verified; and deposit was
modeled. Prospect was not redrilled.
PHILOSOPHY
We believe in:
